Look at this guy, making a comeback. Great stuff as always, man! Awesome to see you back!

Excellent sound! Soft vocals against rough instrumentals. The contrast works extremely well. This is all what I have to say before checking out the source song, which I've never heard. Time to go check that out!

After listening to that, I can definitely say your additions make it a far catchier song. The original also uses the harsher instrumentals in a few points, but is more often a softer song. Still, I can see where you got the idea to expand on the sound that those parts of the song started to create. You took them and made them bigger, better. Well done, man! I'd expect nothing less. :)

Came out epic, man! Sorry I made you work so hard on this one. Haha. Great job, as always! :)

Great to finally hear some new stuff, man. Super honored to be one of the first to hear it, aside from yourself. Awesome sound. Extremely chill, yet also somehow epic. Definitely can imagine this as a fantastic background soundtrack. Keep it up and don't disappear again!!! Haha... look who's talking. :)

I don't plan to re-re-disappear! Thanks again for the encouragement and positivity. As always, you're the greatest!

Good stuff. I like the sound. Certainly does the job of trance and just like many trance songs it's way too long. Quite good work, but unable to hold my interest for 8 minutes. After hearing all of your submissions I definitely think you should do more like this.

SoundSpectre responds:

Thank you for responding to the track, the length is pretty standard for a trance track but 8 mins is not for everyone, the intro, beakdown and outro make up a lot of those mins and when i produce i usually am thinking of the track as a tool for the DJ and try to make it DJ friendly for mixing :)

Simple yet elegant. Definitely a piece that can be used for those serious/big moments in a film. Sounds all work brilliantly together. I actually wouldn't be surprised to hear this song be used in a movie. It's just as good as some of the stuff they have made for the big screen. Excellent work.

SoundSpectre responds:

Thanks man, glad you like this piece and yes i was inspired by movie style scores for this piece, i love listening to score type music, thanks again mate :)

This is the best I've heard from you so far. Definitely has a good rhythm and beat to it. Enough variation to warrant the 6 minute playtime. All around I can certainly say it holds itself up. Only critique is the kick. I like its sound, but my sub has no idea that it's even there. It would definitely help a dance song if subs would actually bump with the song. Dancers typically like to feel what they're dancing to.

SoundSpectre responds:

Thanks again for responding, glad you like it and as for the kickdrum it was crafted pretty much to the standard of the UK hardcore style, tight and punchy without to much sub rumble :)

Just like your most recent song, this one also feels like the entire song is building to something else. Although this one doesn't stand on its own quite as well. I like the instruments used, but something is missing. Another layer on top of what you already have to make it sound a bit more like a song, rather than just the beginning of a song. It certainly has a catchy rhythm to it though. :)

SoundSpectre responds:

Hey man thanks for comments, this one was created like this as just a catchy head nodding rhythm with a minimalistic approach, but yes i always thought it could use a few more elements thrown in there, thanks for feedback :)

Main critique is that the kick is much too sharp. Every time I feel like I'm getting punched. With music, of course, that has the potential to be a good thing. But here it hits my ears all wrong.

Second to that would be that I feel as if the whole entire song is a buildup to something and we never get to hear the main song. It just sounds like it's building through the entire almost six minutes. So when it ends and I don't get to hear what it was building to, it feels a little empty.

Other than those two issues it's a pretty solid and rounded sound. But I feel it should only be used as an intro, maybe the first minute, of another song.

SoundSpectre responds:

Hey man thanks for commenting again :) the popping kickdrum i have going here is the trademark sound for psy trance, and also the repetitive textures and sounds all through the track with a buildup feel are standard for this style, psy trance never usually has a strong melodic element to it, its all about the textures and atmosphere and in my case i threw in a progressing acid buildup :)

Great work. Very good, upbeat sound to it. I could see this being used in one of those "comeback" moments in a story. I'm surprised how long it is, but it manages to stay interesting. Fantastic use of layering. Keep it up!

stunkel responds:

Thank you! :D And thanks for the review!
